Donate to the TPAC survivors in memory of the ones that died

Friends of the Shelter has established a special fund for the eight dogs and puppies saved from the killing at the shelter on August 4, 2008. Tangi Adopt A Rescue (TAAR) a Tangipahoa Parish animal rescue groups has the animals in their care.

Money is needed to help pay for their care and vet costs. Also please consider helping by becoming a foster mom to one of our pets up for adoption.

Crumpet, a friendly, out going, little male dog that is good with other dogs and OK with cats. Working on house training now. He is crate trained and walks on a leash fine. A trick dog: he will beg up on his haunches for treats. Stays in a 4′ high fenced yard and is calm and quite, will bark a little. loves to go on daily walks. Wants petting, love, and attention.

Scrappy, is young male puppy. Cute black and tan friend for life, go lucky puppy. Gets along with all. Walks on a leash. Is crate trained and working on house training. Loves to play and is an active dog.

Midnite Breed: Pit Bull Terrier

Midnite, is an female Am. Pitt Bull Terrier 1 1/2-2yr.’s old 55lbs. Extremely Sweet, friendly, calm and laid back. Gets along well with other dogs, shows no sign of aggression. Is very attracted to cats, but hasn’t been aggressive toward them, shouldn’t trust her alone with them. Wonderful with children.

Walks on a leash, house trained, crate trained. Loves her cozy bed and wants to be inside with you. The recliner chair is her favorite place to be. Loves to have chew toys and raw hides, but is not destructive with her chewing. Stays in a 4′ high fenced yard and doesn’t dig. Very attentive learns quickly with treats. Just a very GREAT DOG, will make the best family pet.

UPDATE: Midnite was adopted! Yea!
