Tangi Adopt A Rescue (TAAR) – is a non-profit pet rescue and adoption service located in Kentwood, Louisiana that fosters pets who have been surrendered by their owners, abandoned, or are at risk of being killed at the local animal control.
We are an all volunteer organization with no paid employees, officers, or directors, so 100% of your donation goes toward food, medical and adoption costs of the animals. Your donations allow us to rescue more homeless animals. We also work on educating people on the importance of spaying and neutering.
Tangi Adopt A Rescue has adopted many dogs & cats, kittens and puppies into new homes over the years. However, we can’t do it alone. You can help by being a foster parent for a needy cat or dog. Foster care consists of providing a safe, loving home for a homeless pet until a permanent home can be found.
Please leave us a comment below if you would like to be consider as a Foster Pet Parent. The more foster parents we can find the more pets we can save. Please consider being a fosterer.

I am trying to raise money to open a new animal shelter in Hammond ,La. I think there should be 2000 dog kennel and 2000 cat kennels Adoption. Stray hold 2000 dogs, 2000 cats, 2000 bite case. I have worked at Tangipahoa Parish Animal Control and there biggest problem is space. The facility needs to look like a boarding facility , no metal kennels. I have all the specifics worked out too much too list. I just need to know if people would want this . I have all the information on the fundraising information. I just need to know if this is what people want!

If the shelter was not in the parishes hands and in a humane society and the people who really cares about the animals not just people pulling a paycheck. The reason i put that many kennels in the amount is because more than tangipahoa parish resident can bring dog and cats in. Such as St.Helena and other parishes. Tangipahoa Parish Animal control only allowed their residents to accept animals.
